Emmanuel is a pastor. Being blind, he was unable to get to his church on his own.
You will be glad to read that this all has changed.
These days, Pastor Emmanuel is able to get to his church on his own, including all the Christmas services. “I never need to beg anyone to take me to church anymore.”
But firstly, he needed to learn how to get from his front door to the gate of his yard that leads onto the road. Someone paved the distance from his door to his gate. “I am 100% independent now, now I can get to my front gate on my own” says Emmanuel. Since I am independent now, I can also go and visit congregants who are unwell at their homes.”
And on Sundays now he says “I am able to join in counting the money. The church council are so impressed with me!”
In parting he says “I can encourage other visually impaired people to believe in themselves, they mustn’t doubt themselves. Being blind is not the end of the world. Life still goes on!”
